In a Borrowing and Lending transaction, the SBLC or BG is generated on the back of top rated publicly listed and traded securities, which will be purchased for this borrowing and lending transaction. These securities are clearly identified by ISIN numbers and can be traced and identified by the receiving bank. On top of this, the instrument is backed by cash. This makes this guarantee also fully cash backed SBLC or Bank Guarantee issued via SWIFT MT 760 in line with ICC Demand Guarantee Rules (ICC 600 URDG 758) by a top rated prime World Bank. The guarantee instrument comes with completely clear and clean verbiage without any constringency and a validity of 365 days. The Bank Guarantee Instrument is fully cash backed, divisible and assignable.
The Securities Borrowing and Lending Agreement for this transaction (as to ISO15022) is on a 350 days cycle. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies and ISO 15022 is the standard used in transactions between financial institutions. The ISO Securities Borrowing and Lending format causes the instrument lending term to end after 350 days, fifteen days prior the validity term of the SBLC or BG. At that time, the instrument lending service will either have to be renewed on the same terms of the initial cycle, or the instrument will have to be returned at that time.
